Snagg

Privacy policy

Last updated 13 September 2026

Snagg is built to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains what the app does with your information, which is very little.

The short version

  • There’s no account and no sign-up.
  • Links you share with Snagg are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers.
  • We don’t collect, sell or share personal data.
  • The storage permission is used only to save files to your gallery.

Accounts

Snagg has no accounts, logins or user profiles. We don’t ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifier to use the app.

Links you share

When you share or paste a link into Snagg, the app reads it on your device to find the media and show you a preview. Snagg then downloads the file directly from the website the link points to. The link is never sent to Snagg or to any server we operate.

Because the app connects to that website, the website receives a normal request from your device (including your IP address), just as it would if you opened the link in a browser. That website’s own privacy policy applies to that request.

Files and download history

Downloaded files are saved to your device’s gallery. Your download history is stored only on your device, and we have no access to it. Uninstalling Snagg or clearing its app data deletes the history. Files already saved to your gallery stay there until you delete them.

Permissions

  • Internet — to download files from the links you share.
  • Storage (photos and videos) — only to save downloaded files to your gallery. Snagg doesn’t read, scan or upload your existing photos or videos.
  • Notifications — to show download progress while Snagg works in the background.

Third-party services

Snagg doesn’t include any third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

Data collection and sharing

Snagg doesn’t collect personal or usage data, and doesn’t send it to us or anyone else. We don’t sell or share data with third parties.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.

Children

Snagg isn’t directed at children under 13. Since the app doesn’t collect personal data, it doesn’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Snagg handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
